SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) drives and coordinates the implementation of the national SkillsFuture movement, promotes a culture of holistic system of lifelong learning through the pursuit of skills mastery, as well as strengthens the ecosystem of quality education and training in Singapore.
With its corporate mission to “enable individuals to learn for life, pursue skills mastery and develop fulfilling careers for a future-ready Singapore”, SSG offers initiatives available to both individuals who pay for their own learning and development and businesses who invest in their talent pool and productivity.
(A) Course Fee Funding: For Self-Sponsored Individuals

UTAP FUNDING:
UTAP (Union Training Assistance Programme) is a training benefit for all NTUC Members to defray the cost of skills upgrading.
NTUC members can claim up to $250 per calendar year (or up to 50% of unfunded course fee) on eligible courses.
NTUC members aged 40 and above can enjoy higher funding support up to $500 per individual each year, capped at 50% of unfunded course fees.

Eligibility criteria
You can apply for UTAP as long as you are an NTUC member. To be eligible for UTAP, all you need to do is meet the following conditions:
Paid-up union membership before course commencement, throughout the whole course duration and at the point of claim, only an upfront deduction is allowed before course commencement
Course by training provider must be supported under UTAP, and training must commence within the supported period
UTAP funding is only applicable on the course fee not funded through company sponsorship or other types of funding
You must have achieved a minimum of 75% attendance for each application and sat for all prescribed examination(s), if any
*This excludes miscellaneous fees such as GST, exam fee and registration fee etc. The UTAP amount disbursed to all members is the same for all nationalities.
How to submit UTAP Claim?
Step 1: Check for UTAP supported courses.
Step 2: Register for course with training provider and attend training. For course information and enrolment, please contact the training provider.
Step 3: Log in using Singpass and submit UTAP/UTAP-Lite claim within 6 months after course completion. Late claims will be rejected.
